This holiday, give the Biggest Gift of all

What if I told you that you could give someone the biggest, most expensive gift that will actually make them happy, and it will not cost you a dime?
I’m not even talking about a hug or a smile, though those are great too.
This holiday, go beyond a new phone, computer, headphones, car, or even a house. Though if you do want to gift a house, I am available to speak. ☺️️
Give the gift of the biggest thing in the universe. I am talking about something larger than anything you can wrap.
Give the gift of the Universe.
Yes, you heard me right. Give the gift of the universe!
To someone you love. To yourself.
No, I am not telling you to be nihilistic and do whatever you want because you “own” it. I mean the opposite. If something is yours, you treat it with care, respect, and love. Wouldn’t you want someone to treat a gift from you with that same care?
You were given the gift of life, that alone is something to be wild about!
The odds of you (as well as the universe) existing are so absurd they might as well be zero. Yet here you are in your universe.
When you see the sun, stars, trees, and flowers, know that these are yours, to preserve and keep for the next generation.
Similar to passing down a wristwatch to a child to cherish and preserve, so too, treat the world as yours to care for, enjoy and improve for the next generation.
When you look at a skyline or beautiful view, let it be a reminder of your vast fortune.
I remember years ago when I visited a friend who was playing a game on his laptop. I asked “What are you playing?” He said, “See this? This is my house” I was confused, I said “All that land is your house?” “Yup” he replied.
That game was Minecraft, and it was early 2011 before the game became a household name. I never forgot that silly line.
Because it is the same sentence you can say about real life, if you mean it the right way.
Look around. This world is yours.

This vast wealth was granted to you the moment you were born, and it stays with you your entire lifetime. To access your birthright, all you have to do is say four words: The universe is yours.
You might say, “Who am I kidding? I don’t own the universe. All I own is what I own. I need more money and I’m just trying to get by.” That may be true. But try this anyway:
When you look away from a screen, zoom out and take a step back, you give your eyes and mind a moment to relax.
Let your eyes wander. Notice the universe again. Appreciate your life and your vast fortune.
You will feel calmer and clearer. Maybe even a little freer.
Now that I’ve “given” you this gift, give it to someone else who may need it.
Say it once, and believe it: The universe is yours. Enjoy it!
