About YPLA

YPLA (Yeshiva Program of Los Angeles), started in 2015 by Rabbi Aryeh Steinman and Rabbi Asher Brander, is a transformative part-time yeshiva program in Los Angeles for young men.

YPLA provides an intellectually stimulating environment, meaningful connections, and a supportive network as these young men navigate the modern world and their personal/professional journeys. This yeshiva program is especially vital in Los Angeles. It helps these men fight the currents of the outside world, and offers a vital Torah resource that combines rigorous Torah learning with personal growth and camaraderie.

About the Campaign

The campaign's main goal was to secure funds for the YPLA annual budget, allowing the program to focus entirely on improving the yeshiva experience making it more accessible to our young men. This strategic allocation maximized its impact on the participating young men and community.

Main Video

The Main Video is the first and most important of all. It introduces the campaign to all in an inviting and engaging way.

It sparks curiosity and fun while informing viewers and donors what the cause is. The video starts with personal anecdotes which makes it more personal and thus more impactful.

Bochur Highlight 1

The Bochur Highlight, or second video, acts as the first "reinforcement" to the main video.
It can be played and sent in tandem to the first, or as a second "blast" to potential donors.
It's goal is to dive deeper into the program.

Video 3

The Bochur Highlight 2 and third video, usually further emphasis the urgency of the campaign and shares further details about the cause not previously mentioned.

It is often targeted towards the lower or mid-tier donors who have yet to donate to the campaign.

It also is often merged with the 50% tally to notify donors of the campaign progress

Video 4

The fourth video often shares the 75% mark towards the completion of the campaign.

It is often more serious or spoken directly at the camera by important shul members larger donors, Rabbis, or individuals to highlight and reinforce the cause's importance and urgency.

It also is often merged with the 75% tally.

Reflection

Working on the YPLA video campaign was an incredibly fulfilling opportunity.

As a program alum, contributing to something that played a vital role in my personal and Torah growth felt like giving back to a place that gave me so much. Crafting visuals that echoed the program's impact was both nostalgic and rewarding. I'm proud to have created exciting and engaging videos for this incredibly program.

Of course the campaign was incredibly successful as well, raising well over our lofty goal of $175,000 in 48 hours. The power of the exciting graphics and impactful videos connected to viewers and donors and helped bring the campaign to success 0 meeting and exceeding our goal.
